This EPC Round Table shall raise the awareness that the global EPC industry is at the edge of radical transformation, following one decade of massive underperformance compared to other industries.

The findings and recommendations of the Final Report of the innovation initiative “EPC 4.0” published by a German think tank in 2019 will be presented and discussed.


The team under the lead of ProjectTeam® has developed a model with 6 transformational levers that have the potential to unleash the hidden potential in the EPC of industrial plants and to save up to 50% of CAPEX. Frank-Peter Ritsche, CEO of ProjectTeam® International Ltd. (Malaysia/ Germany)

Frank-Peter Ritsche has 25 years of experience in EPC projects world-wide. He is certified PMP® since 2005 and holds a mechanical engineering degree from the Technical University of Braunschweig (Germany). He held both operational project management and strategic positions covering the engineering, procurement and construction of conventional and nuclear power plants as well as in the chemical industry, with globally operating companies such as SIEMENS, FRAMATOME, AREVA and THYSSENKRUPP. He gained his on-site experience with major projects in Taiwan, Spain, Slovakia, Japan, Singapore, Finland and Egypt. Mr. Ritsche is founder of the “ProjectTeam® Global Experts Network”, editor of the “Project Management Handbook for EPC”, licensor of the “EPCP®- EPC Professional” training scheme and initiator of innovation project “EPC 4.0”.

Marco has a BSc Chemical Engineering (Netherlands) and a Master of Business Administration (US). He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a PMI-Risk Management Professional (PMI_RMP).  Hailing from The Hague, Netherlands, he has more than 20 years of experience in a variety of major projects in the oil and gas and the process manufacturing industry. Throughout his career he has had involvement either on the engineering side or the construction side of EPC projects. Besides Engineering, Project Management and Manufacturing, his strengths lie in drawing & document management, logistics, performance management and balanced scorecards. For most of his career he has worked in international environments and has strong affinity to different cultures and working methods. The last decade, Marco has become a full-time trainer, consultant and lecturer, focusing on transferring his knowledge to others.

Kevin, a certified PMP®, has a Master Degree in Project Management, a Diploma in Advanced Project Management, and most importantly has a vast practical international experience  amongst other countries in Holland, Germany, USA, Ghana, Namibia, Uganda, Malaysia, Germany, South Africa, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Thailand, managing projects of various sizes both of a technical and of human resources nature in many types of industry such as manufacturing, engineering, mining, logistics and property development/construction. He has vast experience in several industries in various portfolios as Project Manager, Program Manager, and PMO Manager and is an expert in working with people from different cultures and levels. He has set up and implemented PMOs for a large number of organization and is a well-known international trainer and facilitator in the field of project management He has 23 years of experience training and facilitating in over 55 countries around the world.
